After eight years of renting, we have the incredible opportunity to purchase the Anita M. Stone Jewish Community Center in Flossmoor, Illinois. This is a huge God Story!
In short, the owners of the property have accepted our $500k offer on a 24k square foot building and seven acres of land valued at $1.4 million in 2010.
Now that we have the chance to move from renters to owners, we are dreaming about transforming the space into a warm and inviting place where people will want to come and stay. As we’ve engaged this process, we’ve been reminded of God’s faithfulness over the years and that His plans for us include doing what seems impossible, or as the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 3:20, “more than we can ask or even imagine.”
The story and details for our remodeling plans and phases can be found in our Imagine Booklet. We want to make a significant investment in our largest physical asset, which also happens to be our primary tool for Kingdom ministry.
Join us in praying for a miraculous flow of financial resource and for continued favor as we lean in to what God has for us.
Would you also consider sowing generously toward our vision? With the help of our friends and family, we hope to raise the first $500k to cover the entire purchase price. We then plan to secure a construction loan to be paid back through pledges from our church family to cover the costs of renovations (detailed in the Imagine Booklet).
